Excavations and Research Topics

This section is under construction.   Bogucki is adding text as time permits.   The major focus of Bogucki's archaeological research has centered on excavations at Brześć Kujawski and Osłonki in Kuyavia, one of the historical regions of Poland, studying settlements of the earliest farmers dating between 5500 and 3000 BC.    This work has informed a larger interest in the establishment of the earliest farming communities in central and northern Europe, the global transition from hunting and gathering to farming, and the consequences of this tremendous change for society.
